Narayan Nagbali
Narayan Nagbali is one of the main rituals performed only at Trimbakeshwar.
It is a three-day ritual, which starts on particular day and time
as suggested by the Purohits. The ritual is divided in two parts:
The Narayana and Nagbali. The Narayana ritual is mainly done to free
the departed souls from the occult of existence after their deaths.
Since the names of the departed souls are not known, they are named
as Narayan. The Nagbali ritual is performed to get absolved of the
sin of killing a snake committed by them or their ancestors ever in
any of their births. It is believed that on performing this ritual,
the body and mind get cleansed trough repentance. Narayan Nagbali
is also performed to get respite from various problems like childlessness,
Exorcism , etc. It gives good health, success in business and career
and fulfils wishes.
