Lord Ramachandra lived in this major temple in Dharmanagari Nashik during the exile. Sardar Peshwa Odhekar built this ancient temple. Renovated in 1738. It is recorded that Rs. 23 lakhs were spent for the construction of the temple and assembly hall which was under construction for twelve years. A very artistic and beautiful temple has been built in black stone at Ramses. The temple faces east in four directions
The idols of Rama and the deities in the temple have a golden pinnacle to the sand temple. From 1st to 9th, various religious activities are celebrated with great enthusiasm. Also on the day of Chaitra Shuddha Ekadashi, Shriram Rath Utsav and procession of Maruti Rath is taken out. This is a big festival. Devotees from far and wide come in large numbers to see the chariot.
